The short version: no kid accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no personal information collected from children.

What we DON'T do

No accounts or logins for kids
No ads, no tracking pixels, no analytics, and no selling or sharing of data
We never knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. That keeps us in line with the U.S. children's privacy law (COPPA).

What stays on your device

Game progress, stars, pets, and settings (like big text) are saved only in your own browser (local storage). They never reach us. Clearing your browser data erases them.

Weather station

When you type a city into the weather station, that city name goes to Open-Meteo, a free weather service, to fetch the forecast. Please type a city, not a home address. We don't store it.

Pieces of the Week (art sharing)

This is optional, and only a parent sends it. Your own email app opens and you send us a photo of the art. We use the parent email only to reply about that art. Please leave out your child's full name, face, school, or location. We'll show artwork only with a parent's permission, and never with identifying details. Ask us anytime to remove it.

Paid memberships (grown-ups only)

Payments are handled by Stripe. To start a trial, the parent gives Stripe an email address. If the parent adds a payment card, Stripe collects and stores the card details. We never see or store full card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to their part.

Anonymous visit counts

Anonymous visit counts: We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count page visits. It uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses or identify anyone. It records only general information such as the page visited, browser type, screen size, the referring site, and the country (approximated from the connection and then discarded). We use this only to understand how the site is used, never for advertising, and we never sell it.

Emails from us

Only billing receipts, trial reminders, and replies to your messages. No marketing unless you ask for it.

Your choices

Email grokville@mail.grokbot.com to see, correct, or delete what we hold, such as a parent email or an art submission. We delete art emails and support emails when they're no longer needed. Stripe keeps billing records as the law requires.
